A ghost story by a Newton Abbot author has been included in an international anthology.

Too Late for Lalla was the first work published by Emma Seaman, 36, four years ago, and now it appears in Midnight Lullabies, a collection of ghost stories, designed to raise money for a charity.Emma, who used to be marketing manager at South Devon College, said: “The editor read some of my work in a magazine, and asked if he could use the story, as he felt it was perfect for the anthology.

“I was really thrilled to be part of the book, which has just been published in America.”

If you’ve not done it yet, please vote for The Harrow: Original Works of Fantasy and Horror in the Preditors & Editors Poll. We’ve dropped to third place, which is unfair, as we’re the coolest and best.

Yuka and I just wrapped up the art editing for the next harrow anthology Midnight Lullabies. There will be 14 short stories, 14 poems and 14 images. At least 6 of the authors/poets are Canadian; I don’t have all the bios to be sure. The art is all from the Osborne Collection. And I have just had a tentative committment from someone to write the introduction… and I’m thrilled with that. Look forward to Midnight Lullabies this fall!
